D-Link Prepares To Launch Consumer, SMB and IP Surveillance Products

Sakkeer Hussain, Director - Sales and Marketing, D-Link Middle East and Africa (MEA), said: “We recently unveiled our 5000 series data centre switches, which offer up to 32 100GbE ports for top-of-rack or end-of-row applications. In addition to the 5000 launch, we have introduced support for software defined networking (SDN) via a free upgrade for the DGS-3000 (Access layer) and DGS-3630 (Aggregation layer) switches.”

 

Hussain said with the ‘Brite-box’ SDN approach for enterprises, D-Link believes that using SDN to automate data centre operations and maximise infrastructure flexibility is becoming essential to maintain competitiveness for data centre operators and service providers. “Brite-Box provides the advantages of working with a trusted brand, including proven switching technology and established support infrastructure without running the commercial and operational support risks of working directly with bulk purchased white box unbranded bare metal equipment,” he said.

 

In addition, he said the company has also introduced to the regional channel and market Nuclias a cloud-based network management solution. “The new offering enables managed service providers and business owners to remotely configure and monitor their network infrastructures anywhere and at any time without the need for a local controller, reducing cost and complexity while streamlining network infrastructure,” he said. “By preparing the channel to be ready for the new products that will be introduced soon, we are equipping them to be ready for what’s to come. During GITEX we showcased a range of our business and consumer solutions. We also used the show to outline the roadmap of new products that are going to be introduced in the consumer, SMB and IP surveillance market in the fourth quarter.”

 

Hussain added that the second half of 2018 is an important part in this calendar year as the compan has been taking advantage of participating at GITEX Shopper and GITEX Technology Week. “Earlier this year, we complemented our IP surveillance business with a comprehensive array of CCTV products and solutions when we announced our entry into the CCTV segment,” he said. “As a company that has served the regional IT market and channel for over two decades, we have been utilising our GITEX Technology Week appearance to engage more with channel partners and their clients.
