D-Link Launches ShareCenter™ Quattro High Performance, High Capacity NAS for Demanding Consumer Applications

The volume of digital content that consumers are downloading is growing at a staggering rate, leading to a corresponding compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for the global consumer NAS market of 35% between 2010 and 2014. This increase in downloading and purchasing digital content means that users’ data can represent a high financial, as well as personal value. Today’s launch of the D-Link ShareCenter™ Quattro 4-Bay Network Storage (DNS-345) will provide SOHO users and tech-savvy consumers with professional-grade back up for their music, films and multimedia content, and give them peace of mind that their valuable content is secure.

The ShareCenter™ Quattro provides superior performance to typical consumer NAS products. It features a 1.6GHz CPU that delivers faster read/write speeds, meaning delays while streaming or sharing content on the home network are a thing of the past. The ShareCenter™ Quattro also boasts 512MB RAM and support for a variety of RAID levels which deliver increased performance and reduce the chance of losing valuable content in the event of hard drive failure. Consumers can choose from a range of backup options, including ‘the cloud’ with Amazon S3, and backup from PC to NAS, USB to NAS and vice versa, in addition to sharing digital content with other D-Link ShareCenter™ products. The built-in DLNA-certified Media Server and iTunes Server make this the perfect complement for prolific consumers of multimedia digital content.
